- After a much failed attempt to keep a blog last semester while I was in Australia, I decided to try this again... I am spending nine weeks in Moorea, French Polynesia, as part of a research class at UC Berkeley. The aim of the class is to study island biogeography and learn how to become a scientist. Each of the twenty-two students in the class will choose an individual project to work on, come up with a hypothesis, and set up experients in an effort to answer this question. The end result will be a scientific paper as well as an oral presentation, and of course nine weeks of amazing hands-on experience as a scientist. Happy reading :)
